Causes of Bacterial Vaginosis

  • Using vaginal douches
  • Smoking
  • Several scented soaps
  • Using vaginal deodorants or any products to make it smell “fresh”
  • IUD birth control
  • Having sex with a new partner or with several partners 

Complications of Bacterial Vaginosis

Forever look for medical attention whenever you experience any strange symptoms in your vagina. While Bacterial Vaginosis typically heals without any issues, if left untreated, it can raise your hazard of contracting sexually transmitted diseases. It may also affect your chances of conceiving. If you are already pregnant, it could cause your baby to be born prematurely.
